Willene Niegel of Auburn went to be with her Lord on April 7, 2016 at home surrounded by her family at the age of 93. Willene was born in Salmon Falls to Will and Clara Miller. Willene had 3 siblings, Myron, Norman and Don all of which preceded her in passing. She was married to Raymond Niegel of Cool for over 50 years who preceded her in passing 24 years ago. Willene leaves two children, Kathy Moore and Kay Niegel (Betty) and six grandchildren, Robert Moore (Jennifer), Kelly Renee LeMoine, Terry Niegel (Donna), Chad Niegel (Jennifer) and Kimberly Niegel Kuharik. She also leaves ten great grandchildren: James Moore, Katie Moore, Josh LeMoine, Joseph LeMoine, Samuel Funk, Jessica Burnett, Ryan Niegel, Eric Niegel, Tanner Niegel and Madison Kuharik. Willene and Ray lived on the ranch in Cool until 1965 at which time they moved to their Auburn Home. Much of Willene and Ray’s enjoyment in later life came from either visiting or having their nephews, nieces and grandchildren visit them in their Auburn home. Willene would cook and Ray would entertain. She was a member of the Auburn Baptist Church for over 55 years which was a very large part of her life. Willene always enjoyed a wonderful life to the end, especially with the superb help of Hospice and her four caretakers; her daughter Kathy, Barbara Schwartz, Darla Bowen and Wendy Todhunter this past year. A service will be held on April 14th at 11 AM at Chapel of the Hills, 1331 Lincoln Way, Auburn. Burial will follow at the Newcastle Cemetery.
