Stanley H. Perkins was born on July 26, 1929 and passed away on February 6, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Pauly, a year and a half ago. Stan leaves his daughter Sheila Reynolds (Kelly) of Sacramento, Ca. and his son Bob Perkins (Claudia) of Plano, Texas. Stan and Pauly had 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Stan grew up and lived in Auburn for 75 years. He made many lifelong friends and still attended his Placer High class of 1948 high school reunions and lunches. His life-long love of flying airplanes began when he was 15 years old. He grew up hunting and fishing and was among some of the first travelers on Hwy 1 to Baja California to go fishing. He loved going to Baja and did so for many years. He and Pauly loved to travel and went on many cruises and traveled the U.S. in their motor home. Although Stan was very proud that he had been a California Highway Patrolman, his real passion became real estate. He was a partner in developing the Maidu subdivision and was involved in the formation of Christian Valley. Stan was a big man, 6'4" tall, and he had a big personality and heart. He loved to laugh and was always ready to tell a story. He will be missed by his family and friends and Auburn has lost a loyal member of its community. No services will be held, per Stanley’s request. Please sign the online guestbook at www.chapelofthehills-auburn.com. Arrangements under the direction of Chapel of the Hills, Auburn, CA.
