Robert (Bob) Norman Neville III, 74, of Newcastle, California passed away on the morning of January 10th, 2017. He was born to the late Robert Norman Neville II and Marion Slocum Neville on January 22nd, 1942 in New Jersey. Bob joined the Air Force and was stationed in McClellan Air Force Base where he met his wife Florence Jean Irey Neville, whom predeceased him. They were married in 1964.
Bob had 28 years of distinguished service as a Deputy Sheriff in Sacramento County, where he retired in 1997. He then established a security business, and spent his final years tending to the property he loved in Newcastle. Hardworking, comical, and generous, Bob was beloved by his family and cherished by his friends. In his memory we rejoice, comforted by the soft tunes of Elvis Presley and surrounded by his bottle and coin collections, painstakingly alphabetized VHS tapes, and countless recollections of his stories and jokes which will transcend future generations.
Bob is survived by his three children: Christina Connor, Teressa Barrera, and Robert Norman Neville IV. He is also survived by nine grandchildren: Shane, Kane, Cori, Alexandrea, Alyse, Trevor, Alizabeth, Nicholas, and Sadie, and two great grandchildren: Riann and Kolter.
Papa, we will forever cherish our memories of you, and although our hearts are heavy with sadness we are comforted that you are back with the true love of your life, sitting on your grand porch in heaven while Grandma Flo catches you up on 15 years of stories.
Arrangements under the direction of Chapel of the Hills, Auburn, CA.
