Bob, born and raised in Pearl River New York. In 1959 he joined the Marine Corps and went to Paris Island, North Carolina throughout Basic Training. Bob served as a Helicopter Crew Chief and served in various locations, ending his enlistment in southern California. He settled in Auburn California, meeting and marrying Kathryn. They had 2 children, Shannon and Pat. Shannon died in 9-1985. Bob worked as a Union Carpenter on different job sites in the US for the next 32 years. In 1976 Bob and Kathy purchased property Weimar and eventually built a house. He continued to develop and “tinker” on the property throughout his retirement.
Bob served the community in many different ways throughout his life. As a volunteer firefighter in Pearl River New York, as the President of County Service area 27 in Placer county for 10 years, and as board member of a local road association. In lieu of sending flowers, Bob would have wanted us to be kind and patient with one another and “don’t hurt yourself”.
