Julie Kathleen Clark passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7, 2020 at the age of 50 in Roseville, California, surrounded by her loving family.
Julie was born on November 18, 1969 in Roseville, California to Irvin and Kathleen Clark. She mainly grew up in Newcastle, California along with two older sisters who adored her and a younger brother who looked up to her.
She attended Del Oro High School where she starred as one of the best softball pitchers in the Sacramento area in the 1980s. JuJu, as her teammates and coaches affectionately knew her, also played competitively for Shady Ladies and Lady Magic softball teams. She received many honors and awards over the years for her excellence on the diamond, but Julie’s two children and her grandson were her life’s greatest sources of pride.
Julie is survived by her son Andrew Fender; daughter Rachel Fender; grandson Aiden Fender; parents Irvin and Kathleen Clark; sisters Lisa Flowers (Todd) and Stacey Haney (Mark); brother Anthony Clark (Helen); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Julie will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her. We will forever cherish our precious memories with our beautiful mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at the Newcastle Cemetery, 850 Taylor Road, Newcastle, California 95658. A reception to follow.
