Josephine Trapp

Loomis, CA — Josephine (Jo) Trapp( March 27, 1924-June 2, 2011),87 years young, a 44 year resident of the Loomis area, passed peacefully into God’s hands in the late hours of Thursday the 2nd of June.

Born in 1924 in Rome, NY. and was the youngest of ten siblings. In 1948 she moved to the Sacramento area. She was married to Cecil Trapp on Feb 9, 1951. Together, for more than 50 years, they experienced the changing scenes of life in joyous and fruitful companionship until his passing in 2001. In 1993, she retired with 30 years of federal service from McClellan AFB.

From her children she was called "Mom". Her grandchildren soon changed this to “Grandma Jo”. She is survived by her two sons, James and Christopher and three grandkids, Hillary, Taylor and Ryan all of whom brought great joy to her later years.

Friends and family are invited to attend her memorial service. It will be held on Thursday, June 9 at 11 AM at Hope Lutheran Church, 7117 Hope Way, Penryn, CA, followed by internment at New Castle cemetery.
