Jeanne Therese Humphries

Jeanne Therese Humphries, 57, of Auburn, California, passed away peacefully at home on March 14, 2017. She was born in Oakland, California, on May 26, 1959, to Bob and Joan Forkey (deceased). She is survived by her loving husband of 23 Years, Gordon, 3 children, Angela, Daniel, and Abigail.

She was also survived by her brother John Forkey, sister Julie (Gerard) Brunett, numerous in-laws and five much-beloved nieces and nephews.

Jeanne enjoyed many things. She loved walking, cooking, gardening, and entertaining. But mostly she enjoyed the time she spent with her husband, children, and family. Her children's sports and school events were always something she looked forward to. She had many happy memories of family get togethers around the pool.

Jeanne worked for the United States Postal Service for 18 years. While there, the highlight for her was the time she spent working as the Officer in Charge at the Applegate Post Office. She found that community of people to be the nicest one could know. She was honored to have served them.

Jeanne's happiest moments of her life were when her children were born.

Jeanne felt very blessed to be able to spend her final months with her family and cherished the memories of trips and gatherings with her brother and sister and their families. She treasured every day with her children and best friend and loving caretaker Gordon. She found great comfort with her furry companions Spike, Grace, and Cookie.

Jeanne appreciated all of the prayers and well wishes offered by friends, coworkers, and family. They truly made a difference.
