Mr. Fujitani passed away in Roseville on Nov. 26, 2010. He was 88. He resided in Roseville for the past two years and previously lived in Sacramento and San Francisco. He graduated from Placer High, attended Sierra Junior College then worked for the state of CA in the Law Library. James was interned in the Tule Lake relocation center. After the war he enlisted in the Army and was in the MIS, participating in the war crimes tribunal in Yokohama, Japan. Upon discharge, he continued his education graduating from Sacramento State. He worked for the DMV and retired after 30 years. Mr. Fujitani is survived by his brother Tak (Jeanne) Fujitani, sisters-in-law Kiyoko Fujitani and Hasko Fujitani; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. A private family service was held.
