She is survived by two younger sisters, Arva Line of Pocatello, ID and LaRaine (Ben) Lindsay of Blackfoot, ID.
Glenna spent most of her childhood in Blackfoot where her family farmed. She later moved to Salt Lake City with her older sister Eda. It was there that she met and married Francis (Ed) Smith. They were married for 65 wonderful years. During their time together they traveled the world and enjoyed their second home in Chandler, AZ. Relaxing in the sun, playing golf and enjoying time with friends. They were charter members of the Auburn Valley Country Club, of the Mt. Vernon Grange, the Elks and various other organizations. They moved to Auburn in 1947 with their three children. Glenna helped her husband in his business at Farmers Real Estate and Insurance, while still managing to keep up with her three children and many social engagements. During the last few years she enjoyed meeting with several of her close friends for brunch every Sunday to talk about old times and what was happening in their lives.
She was preceded in death by her husband Francis (Ed) Smith, her son Larry E Smith, both her parents as well as her six Brothers and three Sisters. She leaves behind her two daughters Sharon (Gerald) Beck, of Roseville and Lois Fitzhugh, also of Roseville. Her seven Grandchildren Todd (Shelly) Fitzhugh, Shellie Fitzhugh, Toni Beck, Kurtis (Jackie) Fitzhugh, Joe (Rhonda) Beck, Julie Smith and Wesley Smith. Her fourteen Great-grandchildren David (Jenifer) Sturgeon, Kyle Sturgeon, Amanda (Mat) Huckaby, Jacob Fitzhugh, Cory Fitzhugh, Clifford (Allison) Beck, Jessica Fitzhugh, Stephanie Fitzhugh, Gerald (Lynda) Beck, Austin Fitzhugh, Andrea Beck, Mollie and Myia Brougdon and Jacob Beck. Her Six Great-Great-grandchildren Jordyn, Brooklyn, and Cali Sturgeion, Aubrie, Miley and Brianna Beck. She also leaves several sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws along with over a hundred nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Thursday September 12, 2013 at Chapel of the Hills, Auburn. Interment immediately following in the Family plot, Old Auburn Cemetery.
