George Fisher Baldwin

was born July 25, 1942, in Brushton, New York to Merrill A. Baldwin and Della Fisher. He passed away in his home in Auburn, California on August 28, 2016. He married Jean Elizabeth Gamble October 04, 1946; they had one son, Richard Kent Baldwin. George retired from GE after 31 years of work in aerospace electronic systems engineering management. He served in the United States Navy as an aviation cadet. He was very active in the Auburn community belonging to the Navy League and SIRS (seniors in retirement). He was an avid fisherman all of his life and he enjoyed all sports particularly Giants baseball. Having a deep concern for our country he stayed up on current events and politics. George will be greatly missed and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his friends and family. George is survived by his daughter in-law Gail Baldwin, niece Barbara Dishaw and Nephews, Harold and Henry Hooker. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Jean Elizabeth Gamble, son Richard Kent Baldwin, and his sisters Lois, Arlene and Florence.
