Gary Newton Wickwire

Gary N. Wickwire of Weimar, California passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at the age of 75. He was born on December 14, 1949 where he grew up in a loving home. Gary graduated from Skyline High School in 1968, and shortly after joined the Air National Guard where he served as a reservist for six years. After six months of basic training he moved to Sonora, CA and attended Columbia Jr. College. In 1971 he was hired as a hoseman for the City of Oakland Fire Department where he ultimately retired in 1989.

Gary was actively involved with family and good friends going on cross country Harley road trips, fishing, golfing, and watching classic Westerns. Most importantly, Gary enjoyed spending time with family, and watching his three grandsons that he was so proud of play in various sports.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Sylvia Wickwire. He is survived by his wife, Debbie, daughter, Jamie Baldwin (son-in-law, Max) son, Keith Wickwire (daughter-in-law, Annie) grandsons, Kody Wickwire, Tanner Baldwin, and Tucker Baldwin, and sister, Carole Madrid.

The family would like to thank the incredible ICU East staff at Kaiser Roseville for the care and compassion they showed Gary in his final days.
