My heart goes out to your beautiful family you left behind. Dutchess will ,iss her daddy and her hotdogs.. Dee is such a sweetheart and I will be there for you Dee whenever and whatever you  need... He will always be with you Dee - just keep talking to him... And you Eve... Wow A great great man... A great example of what all people should strive to be... but most will fall very short. I will miss your jolly attitude, your contagious loving smile, your bright cheery eyes, your snappy personality and your wonderful laughter... I will miss you and your BIG loving hugs... I will miss you. I will still hear you laughing and always will. I will forever remember you and wished I would have had the opportunity to spend more time with you :(... My deepest sympathy to you, and your  your son Dee. Ev was a very special person, and I have very fond memories of the times we spent with both of you.

Ev was this indescribably big hearted, kind and dapper fellow.  He wasn't just our neighbor and friend, he and Dee were our adopted parents in our mountain home.  I will miss his stories, smile, and fellow German ways.  Morgan and I are deeply sorry for your loss, Dee.  Our loss too.  The gang will never be the same.

Ev was my best friend; over 46 years.  He was my Sales Manager, my District Manager in the Insurance business,  He was my golfing buddy for about 40 years.
He was a great man; a gentleman, his word was his bond.  My family and I loved him and will miss him always.  My deepest condolences go to his wife Dee, his son, and all his family.  Miss you, Ev.

Ev was the uncle of my wife, Laura.  He valued and encouraged me deeply, in his charming, tough, and crusty sort of way.  He loved the insurance business and helping people - He reminded me of the character of Bob Parr in the Pixar film, "The Incredibles".  The man was an inspiration to me; still is.

It's good for me to think about just who this uncle of mine was, and I am still recalling both the "big picture" version of him - and the smaller, yet "main" facts, that stand out. The first thing I began to remember about him, after the shock of hearing that he'd died began to dissipate, is his generally warm and caring manner toward life. He had a wonderful laugh and a joyous smile (that radiated from his very being). He enjoyed being charming - and did it well. He liked to have fun and carry the joy that he knew into all of his endeavors. I'm very thankful that I knew him.

Rail Road Flat, California, the USA and now the whole world is truly a sadder place.  Evard brought his own unique perspective to life and his opinions were always enlightening.  I will greatly miss our evening talks on the deck.  The stream of life that contains my friends is a little thinner.

Ev will be greatly missed.  He was a wonderful person with a passion for helping people.  I will always remember him "going the extra mile" for all of my insurance needs.
