Elizabeth Betsy Aileen Reap Riney

August 3, 1950 – June 29, 2016

Betsy Reap Riney, 65, Newcastle, CA, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at home.

Born August 3, 1950, in Logansport, Indiana, she was the daughter of Fred and Ellen Reap. Betsy graduated from Logansport High School in 1968. After moving to CA in the mid-70’s, Betsy worked for McClellan Air Force Base, Sacramento, as a GS-13 in cost accounting and base closure team. Betsy retired April 2001. In retirement Betsy worked for the County of Placer, all the while meeting new friends.

Surviving are her loving partner for over 25 years, John McLeod; four children, Teena (Eric) Schwartz and Tony Riney and Kristy (Brett) Mowery and Jill Laurel (Rick) Davis. Betsy has seven grandchildren – Leah, Tyler, McKenna, Hannah, Dakota, Logan, and Spencer. She is survived by two siblings – Bill Reap and Barbara Tatman. Brother, Jim Reap, passed away in 1986.
