Ann Marie Schenk

Ann Marie Schenk passed away July 10, 2011 at home in Newcastle, surrounded by her family. Ann was born in Burbank, California on November 23, 1954 the daughter of Vincent and Jean Schenk. She was sister to James Schenk, and William Schenk and was preceded in death by her sister Clare Schenk. Ann received a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences as well as a teaching credential in Life Sciences and Chemistry. She taught for over 25 years for the California Youth Authority in Mariposa, Santa Cruz, and Ione. Ann was a talented artist, a world traveler and a friend to all. Her sense of humor and beautiful smile will be greatly missed. Family and friends are invited to attend a rosary service Friday, July 15, 2011 at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1162 Lincoln Way, Auburn, California. The family requests that memorial donations be made to The American Cancer Society. Arrangements under the direction of Chapel of the Hills, Auburn, CA.
