Wynell Colegrove Beason

Wynell Colegrove Beason, age 94 of Rainbow City passed away February 5, 2023. Graveside service will be at 1:30pm Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Rainbow Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jacky Beck officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12 until 1p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Beason was born in Alabama City in 1928 and graduated from Etowah High School (Class of 47). She retired from Belk- Hudson with over 40 years of service. She attended First Baptist Church of Southside. In her earlier years, she enjoyed ice skating. Mrs. Beason also enjoyed traveling with her husband and dancing on Friday nights with her friends at the Gadsden Senior Center.

She was preceded in death by Melvin Colegrove Sr.; Wallace Whitt; son, Melvin D. Colegrove Jr.; and grandson, Heath Colegrove.

She is survived by her husband, Geoffrey N. Beason; sons, Robert L. Colegrove (Teresa), Joseph W. Colegrove (Leslie); 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
