Virginia Collins

who passed from her earthly home on July 1, 2019 to be with her beloved husband, Eddie Collins.

Burial will be in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Morgan Funeral Chapel will be directing the service.

Mrs. Collins was devoted to her family where she did nothing less than show her love for them everyday. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, and sister. Her family was her life, her passion, and her reason for existence. She found her joy in caring for the ones she loved. A void has been created that shall never be filled for each of us that had the pleasure to call her "ours".

Mrs. Collins is preceded in death by her parents Olan and Lillie Mae Sherell, her husband of 53 years Eddie B. Collins, and her sisters Mary Ruth Roberson and Ola Mae Rosier.

Mrs. Collins is survived by her daughters Deborah Works ( Danny), Linda Mashburn (Benji), and Cheryl Harp (Pierce); grandchildren Ben Mashburn, Jessica Anderson ( Steven), Kristin Hill ( Rueben), Emily Mashburn (Chase Krissie), Destiny Works ( Jeremy Haynes), Anna Harp, and Chandler Harp; great-grandchildren Luke Mashburn, Baileigh Anderson, Lila Maxwell, Carson Krissie, Landon Anderson, Jaxton Krissie, Anna Nelson ( Matt), Allison Yarbrough (Travis), Tyler Hill, Dylan Hill, Tony Hill, Abby Hill; brother Harold Sherrell ( Gail); sister Dianne Miller; along with a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Pallbearers will be Danny Works, Benji Mashburn, Pierce Harp, Ben Mashburn, Steven Anderson, Chandler Harp.

A special thank you to Kindred hospice staff: Dr. Layla Wren, Shanekia, Ms. Brenda, Ms. Sue, Cassey, Christie, and Mr. Logan. Your love and care for our mother was exceptional.

The family will receive friends Friday from 5 pm -7 pm at Morgan Funeral Chapel.
