Thomas was retired from Overnite Transportation (UPS Freight).
He is survived by his wife, Charlsie; sons, Terry (Jenny) of Ashville, Derand (Becky) of Attalla, and Dewayne of Rainbow City; daughters, Sandra (Charlie) Thomas of Ashville, Brenda (Jeff) Nichols of Ashville, Tina (Darryl) Churchey of Springville, and Karen (John) of Illinois; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.
Private graveside services will be Wednesday, April 15th at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Eric Nichols, Kevin Minton, Scott Nichols, Thomas Churchey, Brandt Minton, Derrick Mostella; and son-in-laws, Charlie Thomas and Darryl Churchey.
