Robert Allen Bruton

Robert was a member of Higher Ground Baptist Church on Fairview Road, Gadsden, AL.

Visitation will be held at Morgan Funeral chapel on Friday December 13, 2024 from 11am-12:30pm. A graveside service will follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens, Officiated by Rev. James O Wallace.

Robert was an avid Bowler for many years; he earned his pilot license and enjoyed flying airplanes for the Civil Air Patrol. He also loved Alabama Football.

Robert served in the United States Navy.

Robert was born in Tishomingo, MS, and grew up in Haleyville, AL. He worked at the Republic Steal for 42 years.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Eula Bruton; sisters, Betty Sue Bull ( J.C Bull) and Frankie R Hyatt (Harlon).

Robert is survived by his wife of 16 years Mavis Marie Bruton; children, William Alan Bruton (Elizabeth), Robert Scott Bruton( Sherrie), Donna Kaye Gamberi (Joe); grandchildren, Blake Gamberi (Jessica), Laura Smith (Jared), Suzanne Dombroski (Garrett), Landon Bruton (Natalie), Syd Bruton, Anna Katherine Bruton, and 4 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Landon Bruton, Todd Barton, Bobby Bull, David Smith, Randall Croft, and Jeff Shields

Honorary Pallbearers will be members of Higher Ground Baptist Church.
