Norma Jean Stephens

Services will be at 2:00pm, Friday June 7th at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Attalla, Alabama with Pastor Roger Beshears officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00-2:00pm. Burial at Rainbow Memorial Gardens.

Norma was born on October 25, 1935 in Blount County, AL and lived most of her life in Etowah County. She was a resident of Southside, AL. Norma was a graduate of Emma Sansom High School class of 1953. She worked in the banking business all her life, and at the time of retirement she had been manager of the Loan department at SouthTrust Bank in Rainbow City.

Norma loved spending time with her family! Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were so very loved by her! She will be miss tremendously.

Norma is survived by her daughters, Pamela (Joey) Watson and Kristi Wise; grandchildren, Stephen (Fatima) Wise, Ryan (Sydney) Watson and Alyssa Ford; great grandchildren, Jude Ford, Archie Ford, Lillie Wise and one more expected in October, Miller Watson.

She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 66 years, Farrell Stephens; her parents, A.E. (Jack) and Nancy Ryan; sister and brother in law, Carolyn and Ray Pankey and deceased infant sister, Nancy Irene Ryan; son in law, Patrick Wise.

The family would like to thank Shirley’s Angels and Centerwell Home Health for the wonderful care given to Norma in the last 2+ years. A special thank you also to her “adopted” daughter and caregiver, Anita Vice.
