Nathan Holley 73 of Gadsden passed away December 13, 2020. Funeral Service will be at 3p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Morgan Funeral Chapel with Rev. George Lankford officiating. Burial will be at Rainbow Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be prior to the service from 1 until 3p.m.
Nathan was a native of Giles County, TN where he was born on August 14, 1947. He grew up on a farm and learned to work hard at an early age. After graduating from high school, he was drafted into the Army, at the age of 19, to fight in the Vietnam War under the 3/17 Air Cavalry.
After 2 years of service, Nathan met Beverly Riggins and they married on November 1, 1969. They moved to Alabama and had two sons. He was employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber until his medical retirement. Nathan and Beverly were married for 51 years.
Nathan was preceded in death by his parents, Niles Holley and Emmer Hanna Holley; brothers, Gary Holley, Ted Holley, and sister, Joan Holley.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Riggins Holley; sons, Mark and Jeremy Holley; daughter in law, Drema and Kristin Holley; grandchildren, Lauren, Caleb, and Niles Holley; sister, Cheryl Holley Ralston; mother in law; Mae Riggins and many nieces, nephews, sisters in law, and brothers in laws.
Pallbearers will be Frank Pierce, Jeremy Holley, Mark Holley, Caleb Holley, Benji Ralston, and Wade Wallace.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Kenneth Williams, Joe Ramsey, John Dungan, Bobby Marcum, Brian Piggott, Dan Hackney, and Glen Williams.
