Lisa Marie Starcher

Lisa was born October 10, 1957 and was of the Baptist faith. She was a graduate of Etowah High School Class of 1976. She had an unwavering love for her family and friends; and a deep love for her canine companions. Lisa's passion was to rescue all animals she could, within her means. Her joyous spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hollis and Earline Osborne; brother, George 'Bud' Osborne; sister, Faye Nabors; and daughter, Crystal Dawn Nelson.

Lisa is survived by her devoted husband of 14 years, Porter Shields; daughter, Kelley (Barry) Lafollette; sister, Dixie Rockhart; grandchildren, Zack Brannon, Hannah (Dakota) Johnson, Logan (Chasity) Lafollette, Kelsey (Chris) Cushen; Eli Andrews, Ethan and Alex Terry, Cayley and Abbie Nelson, Addie Dillard and Lilly Stephens; 11 great grandchildren; and her memory will be held dear by a host of nieces and nephews.

A private family Memorial Service will be held April 17, 2025; and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

The family would like to thank the MICU Nurses at Gadsden Regional Medical Center, and Aveanna Hospice for the love and care she received during her time there.
