Jimmy dedicated over 36 years of his life to pipeline work, a career he took great pride in. He was a member of the Local 798 Pipeliners and was known for his strong work ethic, loyalty, and integrity. More than anything, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose family meant everything to him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Edward Bellew; mother, Julia Agnes Barnard Bellew; brother, Kenneth Ray Bellew; and sister, Lisa Mae Bellew.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Dowdy Bellew; daughters, Misty (Michael) May and Brandi (TJ) Hearn; and son, Jonathon (Gina) Bellew. He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Larry Bellew and Tommy Bellew, and sister, Sheila Bellew.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel. A second visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., also at Morgan Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Mark Dowdy officiating. Burial will follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Dakota May, Chris Barnard, Rickey Dowdy, Jason Sims, and Joseph Ogles.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Bellew family.
