Jimmy Lamar Baker passed away on November 17, 2024. He passed peacefully among loved ones. He was a very loved man and a truly good man.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James S. Baker; mother, Barbara Jones Baker; brother, Donald Eugene Baker; and sister-in-law, Rebecca Skillman Brown.
He is survived by his spouse of 54 years, Judy Skillman Baker; sister, Dannette Estes; sister-in-law, Karen Baker; brother-in-law, Michael S. Brown, and many beloved nieces, nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., Gadsden, AL., after 33 years. He served proudly in the U.S. Air Force and is a Vietnam Veteran.
He has been an avid fisherman, golfer, and loved athletics of any kind.
He will be interred at Gallant Cemetery, 1st Baptist Church, Gallant, AL. There will be a private family graveside burial only. Morgan Funeral Chapel, Attalla, AL., is handling the interment.
Pallbearers and honorary ones are his nephews and great nephews.

He is finally released from pain and into the loving arms of the lord, whom he loved and worshipped.
