Jerry Lynn Collier 70, made his last long haul drive to his final destination to heaven, on August 21, 2023. He was surrounded by his loving wife of 44 years, Janice Collier; son, Sean Collier; daughter, Neisee (Shawn) Spinks; chosen son, Phillip (Darla) Franklin; grandchildren, Tayla Collier, Jaylee Collier, Brayden Collier, Jayden Spinks, Crimson Spinks, Jody Spinks, Shannon Spinks, Zoey Franklin, Zayden Franklin, and Zeplynn Franklin; sisters, Joyce Perry, Sandra (Ben) Siebert, Peggy (Dave) Guebert, a host of many chosen brothers and sisters, and special friends, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Coralee Collier; brother in law, Keith Perry; daughter in law, Lori Collier; step daughter, Angel Griffin and mother and father in law, Bill and Martha Seabourn.
Jerry drove a truck for 52 years, he loved trucking, he was employed by Hereford Scrap Metals. Jerry also loved spending time with his family, motorcycles, Alabama football, watching movies, eating, karaoke, spending time with friends and fishing. Jerry was a very loving man and would give the shirt off his back to anyone. Jerry always made sure everyone was taken care of and his family was his priority. Jerry loved his dog, Harley more than anything else in the world. Harley was his best friend. Jerry’s favorite sport was football, his favorite team was Alabama.
The family would like to thank Tyler Pence with Amedysis Home Health Hospice for everything he did and how he helped take care of Jerry. The family would also like to thank Tony and Joe Hereford for everything they have done for him and years of friendship.
Celebration of Life will be 2pm Thursday August 24, 2023 at Morgan Funeral Chapel with Rev. Melvin Guyton and Joey Staton officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12 until 2pm.
