Herbert James Morgan

Herbert James Morgan 64, (Herb) was born on January 19, 1960 to Billy and Maddie Morgan he has a brother (Charles) and two sisters (Bonnie and Freida). A graduate of Collinsville High School, Herb furthered his education at Sheldon State and Gadsden State Community Colleges and became a Paramedic. He spent a career serving and caring for others where his sense of humor and love of helping people brought him success.

He was a beloved husband to Bobbie Jean (BJ) a devoted father to Josh (Brandy), and a loving grandfather to Kaleb (Lexi) and Parker. Herb spent his life working in EMS and caring for others. Herb enjoyed watching NASCAR and spending time with his family.

The family would like to thank Riverview Hospital ER staff, Dr Shah, Riverview ICU nursing staff, and Dr. Joshua Williams for their compassion and wonderful care.

An extra special thank you Jamie Grant, Robin Grant, Patrick Bright and the AMed family for the outpouring of support over the last few weeks.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 15, 2024, from 1:00 - 3:00 PM at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Attalla, AL. A short Graveside services will take place following the visitation at Collinsville Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Alan Soper, Brian Osborn, Carson Grant, Tyler Nash, Brian Blanton, Ethan Hope, Will Hamm, Cade Hamm.

Honorary pallbearers are AMed and DeKalb Ambulance Services.

Morgan Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
