Helen Watson

Helen Watson, age 87, of Ashville, Alabama passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024. Visitation will be Sunday, February 25, 2024 from 4pm until 6pm at Morgan Funeral Chapel. Funeral Service will be at 2:00pm on Monday, February 26, 2024 at Shiloh United Baptist Church. Rev. Tony Holland and Rev. Jonathan Whisenant to officiate. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

Helen loved her children, grandchildren and spending time with her family. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed cooking, quilting and sewing. She loved reading her bible and spending time in prayer. She was a prayer warrior and the life she lived showed her love for her Lord.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Watson; son, Jerry Watson; daughter n law, Deborah Watson; daughter, Patricia Watson; father, Geames Brown; mother, Lillie Brown; and sisters, Essie Taylor, Hazel Arrington, and Clara Cunningham.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Shirley (Ernie) Cone; son, Larry Watson; and grandchildren, Elizabeth Cone, Caleb Watson, and Gracie Watson.

Pallbearers are Ernie Cone, Caleb Watson, Chris Cunningham, Andy Cone, John Cone and Patrick Cone.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregiver, Wendi Dean, and Aveanna Hospice and Staff, especially Mary, Jackie, and Joseph.
