Services will be on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Morgan Funeral Chapel, Attalla, AL. Visitation will be from 12:00pm until the time of the Funeral service at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Pastor Dee Dowdy to officiate.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, after 51 years of marriage; parents, Walter and Katharine Broer; and brother, Richard Broer.

Helen leaves behind to cherish her memories, her sons, Michael (Ovella), David (Greta), and Patrick (Mary); grandchildren, Taylor and Dylan; brothers, Walter (Joy) Broer, and Erich (Janet) Broer; sisters, Marianne Kurth and Kathleen (Court) Dillingham; and many nieces and nephews.

She was a member of First Methodist Church of Rainbow City. She enjoyed singing in the chancel choir for many years. She was a member of Agape Methodist Women, the Goodyear Women’s Club, the Greater Gadsden Greeters, and TOPS (WOW).

We would like to express countless thanks to Hilda Willard and Doris Payne for their friendship and support to our mother, as well as other friends and relatives of which there are too many to name.

Pallbearers are family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made on her behalf to First Methodist Church of Rainbow City, Alabama.

Morgan Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
