Etoile "Toy" Washburn

A Chapel service will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel on Sunday, September 29,2024 at 1:00pm. Burial to follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Pastor Joseph Crider to officiate.

Toy married Bert on January 21,1950. They had three children. Toy and Bert were married just shy of 75 years. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

Toy was preceded in death by parents, Walter and Ima Meeks; brother, Walter Franklin Meeks Jr.; sisters, Sarah Maxwell, Virginia Cline, and Valeria Christopher; children, Kenny Washburn, Ricky Washburn, and Vicky Bailey.

Toy is survived by her husband, Bert Washburn; sisters, Maxine Rice, and Louise Chambers; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Goforth, Terry Evans, Jeff Kilgore, Tim Harper, Anthony Cline, and Easton Owen.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Josh Washburn, Nick McCormick, Taylor Davis, and Greg Griffin.

Special thanks given to ACG Hospice, all nurses that took care of MamaToy, Social Worker, Raven Lamkin; and Nurse, Kasie Hill.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the charity of your choice in Honor of Toy.
