Danny passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Riverview Regional Medical Center. Born in Alabama, he played football for Collinsville High school until he graduated in 1971. Danny enjoyed anything to do with cars, from building motors for his friends to just working on them. Watching drag racing and NASCAR, especially the Busch Brothers was one of his favorite hobbies. Danny also loved cutting grass and watching Alabama football. He worked for over 31 years for Goodyear Tire as a General Operator and also pastored several churches. Danny fought hard from the stroke and heart problems. But he won his battle, he’s whole. He told us just the last few weeks that he wanted to see Jesus, his mom, dad and sister. He is walking and running without his walker or wheelchair since God has healed him.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Blevins, his children, Angela Blevins and Michael Blevins (Shelia), his grandsons, Zachary and Noah Blevins, his brother, Billy Blevins (Margaret), his nephews, Allen Evans (April), Joey Evans (Heidi), Conner and Colton Evans, his nieces, Leigh Bagley (Hunter), Clayten Bagley and Eleanor Bagley, and his beloved cat, Miss Kitty.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Katherine Blevins, and his sister, Kim Evans.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 12:00 P.M. until service time at 1:00 P.M. at Morgan Funeral Chapel.
