Funeral service will be held at Rainbow Presbyterian Church on Tuesday January 24, 2017 at 2:00 P.M.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the church from 1 to 2 P.M. , prior to the service in the sanctuary
Pastor Robbie Hendricks will officiate.
Private Committal will be held in Forrest Cemetery. Morgan Funeral Chapel & Crematory directing.
Lynn was born on December 13, 1931 in McAllen, Texas to Clarence and Bertha Clayton.
He graduated from Gadsden High School and was a 1953 graduate of Alabama Polytechnic Institute.
He married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Richardene Miller in September of 1952. He worked for over fifty years for Herff Jones Co. selling class rings and graduation supplies throughout Alabama and was known far and wide as “The Class Ring Man.”
He taught young married couples at First Baptist Church for decades , and continued teaching Sunday School later at Rainbow Presbyterian Church where he also served as an Elder.
He was a past chairman of the Etowah County Republican Party, served on the board of the Salvation Army and delivered Manna for many years.
He loved all things Auburn, skiing in Utah with his entire family as an annual event for twenty plus years, and serving his Lord Jesus and his fellow man.
Lynn was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Richie Clayton and also by his parents, Clarence and Bertha Clayton.
He leaves behind;

Great grandchild, Kreed Clayton
And by his favorite people of all, his schnauzers, “Chase” and “Carlee”.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or Etowah County Humane Society.
Close friends will have the honor of serving as pallbearers.
