Dennis learned the meaning of hard work at a very early age. As a schoolboy he delivered newspapers on his bicycle and washed cars at a service station. In 1975, he married Theresa Clements. They shared their lives for almost 50 years and watched their family grow to include two daughters, two sons-in-laws, and five grandchildren.
After 13 years of working for UPS, Dennis left and opened his own business. He and Theresa enjoyed working over 35-years as the owners and operators of Huff’s Wrecker, Carwash, and Mini-storage, and as the managers of several properties. Dennis was well-known for helping people across the greater Attalla and Gadsden area. He always had a smile and a joke for everyone that talked to him. Dennis always helped others in need and found joy in fishing, grilling, collecting cars, and spending time with his beloved family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Grandsons and Nephews.
The family would like to recognize Dennis’ special life-long friend Barry Moore, chosen son Doug (Grace) Wood, and many friends and neighbors.
In lieu of flowers, Dennis would want you to help someone in need and continue sharing acts of kindness.
The family would like to thank all friends who have been there for Theresa and Dennis’ family throughout the years.
