The Lord has chosen at this time to call home another angel, our beloved mother and grandmother Brenda Lee Crowder Brothers. Brenda was born April 29, 1942 in Gadsden, Alabama and was raised there. She grew up in the Mill Village on Sandusky Lane. She has been a resident of Tuscaloosa County (Northport) since 1968. She was a 1960 graduate of Emma Sansom High School where she sang in the choir and was in many clubs. She would occasionally sing with her brother Butch in his band. She was of the Baptist faith and was a born again Christian. She died Wednesday, June 9, 2021. Brenda was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Lavell Brothers, her mother Marie Allsup Wilson, her father Forrest Crowder, her brother Kenneth Wayne (Butch) Crowder and her Uncle Thomas Ralph (Toopie) Allsup. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
Funeral will be Monday June 14th at 12:00 Noon at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Attalla, Alabama. The Reverend Rodger Brothers will officiate. Morgan Funeral Chapel directing. Burial will follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens next to her beloved husband.
She is survived by her son Tony (Susan) Brothers; grandson Clint Brothers; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins, her sister-in-law Wylene Crowder, her mother-in-law Hazel Brothers and the entire Brothers family.
Pallbearers will be Tony Brothers, Clint Brothers, Randy Brothers, Chase Tanner, Allie Tanner, Jaxon Freeman and Mark Dawson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Evelyn Allsup, Debbie Allsup, Pat Brown, employees of Nucor Steel in Tuscaloosa and all of Brenda’s many friends through the years.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon on June 14, 2021 at the funeral home prior to the funeral.
