Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2019, at 10am at Morgan Funeral Chapel, for Billy Randall Cox, age 91 of Attalla, who passed from this life on February 11, 2019. Brother Sammy Odell and Brother Thomas Winborn will be officiating. Entombment with military honors will follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Cox proudly served in the US Navy. After leaving the Navy, he went to work at Republic Steel, where he worked for 43 years. Mr. Cox was a long standing deacon at Siberton Baptist Church, where he loved his church family. He later enjoyed the fellowship and Sunday school class at 12th Street Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by parents, Manly and Della Cox; brothers, Weldon, Chester, and Jimmy Cox; and sisters, Gloria Dean Battles, Mary Ann Cox, Margie Vickery Cash.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Geraldine Little Cox; sons, Gary (Peggy) Cox, Alan (June) Cox, Tommy (Celia) Cox; grandchildren, Chad (Chrystal) Cox, Amy (Chad) Lipscomb, Chris (Shandi) Cox, Jenny (Michael) Richey, Jason (Kelli) Cox, Josh (Paige) Cox, Brittany (Jesse) Womack, and a host of great grandchildren; Sisters, Kathleen Ingles, Betty Jo McClendon, Margaret Williams, Carolyn Cox, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Chad, Chris, Jason, and Josh Cox, Chad Lipscomb, Michael Richey, and Jesse Womack.
Mr. Cox adored his family, and they were a source of great comfort and pride for him. Billy will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, from 5-7pm at Morgan Funeral Chapel.
