Barbara Colvin

Barbara Colvin, age 77, of Glencoe, passed away on March 30th, 2024. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Hubert Colvin, son Hubert Colvin Jr. parents, Charles Byron Biggar Jr. and Jaunita W. Biggar; brothers, Byron Biggar III and Alan W. Biggar, sister Bonnie Sue Dewey, Barbara is survived by her sons James Colvin(Rachel) of Columbiana, Chuck Colvin (Myra) of Gadsden; grandchildren, Dakota (Hannah) Colvin, Aaron (Trinity) Colvin, Octavia Colvin, Mitchell Bryer, Sean (Jordan) Holmes; great-grandchildren, Jonah Colvin, Dolly Colvin, Athena Colvin, Boone Colvin, Ava, Grant and Preston Holmes and Jacob Bryer; sisters, Pamela Carroll (Jim) of Hokes Bluff, and Kathy Jones (Jim) of Huntsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Barbara was raised in Gadsden. She was a graduate of Glencoe High School. Barbara also took on the role of a second mom to many of her sons friends who loved her dearly. A special thank you to Barbara’s sisters, friends, and Cove Creek Baptist Church members for checking on her during this time. It was Barbara’s wishes that she be cremated and not have a service.
