Toby Ross Parker passed away surrounded by friends and family on Monday, February 8th 2016. Born in Downers Grove, Illinois on October 1, 1983, Toby's arrival was greatly anticipated and he was immediately and dearly loved. The family moved to Atlanta in 1992.
Toby touched the hearts of many people. From an early age, he was determined to devote his life to helping children. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Georgia Gwinnett College, Toby relocated to North Carolina where he worked as a counselor for troubled youth. Many of those individuals are eternally grateful to Toby for helping to turn their lives around. Toby took great pride in treating his “kids” to a rare dinner out and making them feel special.
Toby’s many friends will always remember him for his sarcastic quick wit, his legendary fishing skills, his impeccable taste in music, and his love of a great cigar. Neither snow nor rain nor heat could stop Toby from enjoying a camping trip.
Toby will be remembered as a loving friend and family member. His imprint will forever remain with all who were fortunate enough to know him. He is survived by his father, Jim; mother, Maureen; and brother, Tom and his wife Sonia, niece Meredith, and nephew Joshua.
A funeral is scheduled for Friday, February 12, 2016 at 7 o'clock in the evening at Patterson's Spring Hill. The family will receive friends 3 hours prior from 4 until the hour of the service.
