Thomas S. Fisher

"Thomas S. Fisher passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2013, at age the age of 56. A native Atlantan, he is survived by his two daughters, Scottie Fisher Brinkley and Jordan Fisher; former wife, Virginia L. Fisher; son-in-law, Andrew Brinkley; and grandson, Nathan James Brinkley.  He is also survived by his sister, Vickie Lee Fisher; brothers, William Craig Fisher and Robert Keith Fisher; sister-in-law, Connie M. Fisher, and their families. Tom was predeceased by his mother, Alice Lou Fisher; his father, William Rutledge Fisher; and his brother, James Edward Fisher. He graduated from Lakeside High School where he was a member of the state champion soccer team.  He graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia with a BBA in Accounting.  He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1980. He went on to practice law for over thirty years, working for Dresser Industries, Inc., R.M. Bernhardt, P.C., and eventually starting his own practice, Thomas S. Fisher, P.C.  Tom was an avid reader, a trait inherited by both his daughters and his grandson.  He enjoyed traveling, being with his family for holiday and birthday celebrations, and generously spoiling his family, especially his grandson, Nathan.  He will be greatly missed by all. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 6th, at 12:30 pm at H. M. Patterson & Son, Oglethorpe Hill.  A visitation will be held the evening before, Tuesday, March 5th, from 6-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta."
