Shirley E. Wade

Shirley E. Wade, age 89, of Duluth, GA, passed away on June 7, 2015 at her home. A native of Canada, she was a member of the Canadian Eastern Star. Shirley was an avid lover of tennis and was captain of many teams with the Atlanta Athletic Club for over 25 years. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Robert Francis Wade. Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Christine Wade and Edward W. McDonald; grandson, Joseph W. McDonald, all of Duluth; her brother, Lorne Duncan. Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 13th at 10 AM at Kingswood United Methodist Church. Private interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 at H.M. Patterson & Son, Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, 4550 Peachtree RD NE, Brookhaven, Georgia, 30319. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, American Kidney Foundation and The Diabetes Association and The American Cancer Society.
