Shelby was born in Atlanta, GA. to Rebecca Long and Eddie Long on November 7, 2000. She graduated from Decatur High School in Decatur, GA. and attended The University of Mississippi. Shelby worked at Botiwalla restaurant in Ponce City Market.
Shelby had a contagious smile and was a fiercely loyal friend who loved her family very much. She loved music, Marvel movies, the beach, noodles, fashion, and adoring her 6-month-old niece.
She was passionate about organ donation and was able to fulfill her long-time request to be an organ donor after her passing at Lifelink Foundation of Georgia. In death she will give life to many, many people.
Shelby was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Long.
Shelby is survived by her parents, Rebecca Long Mosley and Mark Mosley of Avondale Estates, GA., her sisters, LeeAnne Long of Atlanta, GA., Emma Long and her partner Matthew Post of Decatur, GA. and their daughter, Everlee Post. She is also survived by her grandparents; Wayne and Jerilyn Memmler, Candace Kaercher, Emily Long, 2 stepbrothers, 2 stepsisters, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many amazing friends.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of Shelby’s Life will be held at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, February 5th, 2022, at Immanuel Anglican Church, 630 East Lake Dr., Decatur, GA. 30030, with Pastor Ashley Mathews officiating. Arrangements are by Cathy Brim of Bloom Floral Design in Decatur, GA.

The family wishes to thank Officer Anderson of the APD, Dr. Strong, Dr. Kington, Nurse Katherine, Nurse Marlo, Nurse Sarah, Chaplain Trey Morrison, and the rest of the staff at Atlanta Medical Center ICU. Also, Tammy, Cookie, Steve, Katherine, Emily, and Elizabeth at Lifelink of Georgia. Last, but certainly not least, Pastor Ashley Mathews, and Pastor Beth Campbell, who have walked with the family every step of the way through this tragic loss.
