Sarah M Howard

Sarah Madeline Howard of Atlanta passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018. She was the wife of the late Col. Kenneth Alan Howard. She is survived by her children: Sterling Howard of Decatur, Georgia, Kenneth Howard of Duluth, Georgia and Connie and her husband, Helge Grawert of Bisbane, Australia. Also surviving are two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Sarah was born April 30th 1927 in St. Augustine, Florida, daughter of Walter and Sarah Moeller. She grew up on the beach with her five brothers and sisters. She and Kenneth married in August 1947 while he was attending Emory Law School and enjoyed 67 happy years together. She was an army wife, loved to travel and entertain and was the consummate hostess. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She was active in the Daughters of the Nile where she was a past queen. She was a long-time member of Kingswood United Methodist Church. A memorial service is scheduled for Friday the 6th of April at Pattersons at Oglethorpe Hill at 10 a.m. (4550 Peachtree Road, NE Brookhaven Ga.)

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday April 5th also at the funeral Home.
