Sally Ann Thorne

Sally received her bachelor’s degree from Hiram College and master’s degree from Case Western Reserve University. Upon graduation, she worked as a registered nurse for the visiting nurse service in Cleveland, Ohio. Over the years she worked as a nursing instructor in Rochester, NY and Pontiac, MI. Later in her career she worked at the American Red Cross in Flint, MI.

Sally was the wife of the late Ronald R. Thorne. She is survived by her three sons, Keith (Kathy) of Loranger, LA, Charles (Melissa) of Arlington, WA, and Steven (Vicki) of Peachtree Corners, GA; a daughter, Linda (John) Principe of The Woodlands, TX; four grandsons, James (Kate) and Jeffrey Principe and Braden and Alex Thorne; and two great grandchildren, Margaret and Anthony Principe. She is also survived by her sister, Marilyn Achey, of Bethlehem, PA.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Thursday at the H.M. Patterson and Son Oglethorpe Hill Chapel at 4550 Peachtree Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30319. Friends may call from 10:00-11:00 at the chapel.
