Ronald Winfield Hartley died peacefully on September 19, 2013 after complications from surgery. He was born in Atlanta, GA on November 26, 1937 to John H. and Corinne Scott Hartley. He graduated from Vanderbilt University and served two years in the US Navy. He received his law degree from the University of Virginia and practiced in Atlanta until his retirement. He was a member of the Cathedral of St. Philip and the Piedmont Driving Club.
He is survived by his brother, Dr. John H Hartley, Jr, his son Dr. R. Winfield Hartley, Jr and wife Joy, his daughter Haven Hartley Long and husband Randy, and six grandchildren. There will be a private memorial service for the immediate family.
