Robert Lutz (Bob) Fine, 84, died on October 28, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Knoxville on June 14, 1932, he was the son of the late Robert Fine and Louise Perry. At age 4, Bob’s family moved to Atlanta where he would spend the next 80 years of his life. Bob attended Boys High and Grady High School where during his junior year he met the love of his life, Nancy. After graduating from Grady, Bob enrolled at Georgia Tech and played football for a year as a Yellow Jacket. On March 20th, 1954, “Bobby and Nancy” were married and remained inseparable best friends and partners for the next 58 years. Upon graduation from Georgia Tech in 1954, Bob entered the U.S. Army as a second lieutenant, and joined the army reserve, eventually attaining the rank of Major. In 1956 Bob began working for the Atlanta Gas Light company while attending and graduating from Emory University law school and entered the practice of law. For the next 60 years, Bob was was a successful attorney, entrepreneur, builder, advisor, and investor, and was a lasting example of an authentic self made man. Admired for his positive attitude, kindness, integrity, humor, adventurous spirit, intellectual curiosity, faith in God, and strong work ethic, Bob was able to truly experience all life has to offer. He and Nancy loved experiencing life together. Bob was a devoted husband to his wife, a dedicated father to his children, a fun and loving grandfather, and a dependable and true friend to so very many in all stages and walks of life. He was adored by all who crossed his path and loved deeply by his family and friends who will greatly miss his warm smile, gentle manor, and reassuring presence. Bob is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Robert (Rob) and JoAnne Fine, son Frederick (Rick) and daughter-in-law Jane Fine, daughter Kathryn and son-in-law Tyler Harrison, and his seven grandchildren Anna, Ali, Bobby, Jack, Bennett, Lauren, and Trent. Visitation with the family will be held Wednesday, November 2, from 6:00-8:00 pm and a Memorial service to celebrate Bobby’s life on Nov. 3 at 10:00 am at H.M Patterson & Son - Oglethorpe Hill.
