Rita Dianne Sofet

Mrs. Rita “Dianne” Sofet, age 61 of Atlanta, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2011. She was a wonderful, wife, mother and grandmother. She was well loved by everyone and will be greatly missed. Mrs. Sofet was preceded in death by her parents, Dillard and Runnelle Michael. Survivors include her husband, Joseph J. Sofet; daughter and son in law, Rita Lynn and Jay Edward Rappaport; granddaughter, Taylor Lynn Rappaport; sister and brother in law, Sheryl and Wayne Curtis; brother, Gregory Berryman; stepmother, Louise Michael-Jacobs; stepfather, Ned Berryman; nieces, Caressa Fadden, Joanna Sofet, Nicole Sofet and Merrie Mosdale; nephews, Wayne Curtis, Jr., Alex Sofet and Wesley Mosdale; Aunt, Mary Alice Bagley; cousins, Bonnie Harper and Nancey Stalker; brothers in law, David Sofet and John Watts; sisters in law, Georgia Sofet, Susan Watts, Merrie Sofet, Joan Sofet and Anne Sofet. Also surviving is a great niece, Catherine Leah Curtis. Funeral Services for Mrs. Sofet will be held Monday, 11:OO AM at Holy Cross Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at H.M. Patterson and Son-Oglethorpe Hill, Sunday evening from 6-8PM with a Rosary Service to be held at 7:30PM. Interment will follow in the Sorrell Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Bethlehem, GA.
