Margaret, Rose and family.  We were very sorry to hear of my cousin Ray's passing and extend our deepest condolences to all who loved him.  Though we only met face to face a few times, my memories of Ray are of a warm and funny individual with a strong consciousness of pride in family.  Throughout the years his witty emails acted as a glue in keeping us cousins in touch with one another.  He was definitely the ambassador of humor in the Caruso family.  He will be missed.

My brother Ray was always such an important presence in my life that was never diminished by years or miles apart.  He was my strongest supporter, my defender, and my protector.  He was the funniest and smartest guy in the room.  He made me laugh until I cried and mesmerized me with his epic storytelling. He was everything to me and always will be.

Even though we expecting it and were mentally prepared for it, we still were deeply saddened by Ray's passing.  We met Ray in the 1960's when I went to work for Lockheed.  It was my first job after college and Ray became one of my treasured mentors and a good friend.  We shared many cheese fondues in the early days and many plates of pasta and cups of espresso since then.  We will miss him very much but will always have our fond memories to sustain us.

Margaret, Eric, Jason and family. We hope you know how very fond we were of Raymond. I will miss his contagious laughter, his great cooking, his brilliant mind and so so much more.  James will especially miss their times together, his history lessons from Ray and so much much more. We loved him and will remember him the rest of our lives.  Love to you and yours. Margaret, Becky and I were so greatly saddened to hear of his passing.  He was a great friend in our early years together at Lockheed and we were glad to get together with you both once again when we returned to Georgia for retirement.  He will be greatly missed!

It was with a personal sense of loss that we learned of Ray's passing Sunday December 20, 2015. We became very good friends as we conducted the business of testing the nation's Oversized Heavy Lifter, the C5A followed by the F-22 air superiority fighter.  There were no special requirements that we could levy which Ray could not devise a way to test.  But those professional discussions are not what I fondly remember him for.  Whenever a situation on the east side of the Dobbins runway became really oppressive I would go across to visit Ray at the test facility in Bldg. L10,  - for some special coordination.  Aerospace testing can be a very stressful challenge and all who don't go mad find a way to handle it. Ray was the best therapist God ever created and I hope that I may have helped him along also.  During our talks we discussed many topics and came to know one another's families, although we seldom had an opportunity to meet with them.  From our chats I know of the great love and admiration he had for his wife and children. He was especially proud of his children, who I believe have inherited his exceptional qualities.
Raymond was an outstanding man in all respects and he will be sorely missed by those who knew him, May the Lord Comfort his Family with Blessings of Everlasting Peace.
