Michael Joseph Allen

Michael was born in Atlanta on July 7, 1997. He lived in St. Thomas USVI for 2 years where he enjoyed sailing and snorkeling. After returning to Georgia, he graduated from Chamblee Charter Magnet School in 2015.

Michael’s smile could light up a room and his laughter was infectious. Michael was a student athlete who participated in soccer, cross country, and loved the beach. He loved working with kids, teaching and refereeing soccer. He loved Sweet Hut and worked this summer at Novo Cucina. He and all his friends loved the YoungLife Christian Youth Group.

Michael is survived by his parents, Beth and Matt; his brother John (Jack); his grandparents Alyce and Don Wirtz of Epworth, GA; Mary and Jim Allen of Great Falls, VA, and his many aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him including his many wonderful friends.

A funeral Mass is scheduled for 1:00 pm Saturday December 5th at All Saints Catholic Church on Mt. Vernon Rd in Dunwoody. Father Dan Rogaczewski will officiate. Internment is at Arlington Cemetery on Mt. Vernon Rd. at 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Michael's memory may be made to YoungLife @ giving.younglife.org.
