Margaret Horine Adair, 69, of Johns Creek, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2022. Lynn, as she was known to friends and family, is survived by her parents, Wallace and Louise Horine of Louisville; her children, Kelly Patton (Sam) of Nashville and Rhodes Adair (Gabrielle) of Lawrenceville; and two grandchildren, Forrest and Emilia Adair. Lynn was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Adair, II.
Lynn grew up in Louisville, Kentucky and graduated from St. Andrews College in Laurinburg, North Carolina. She was an avid gardener, a skilled seamstress, a lover of animals, and the life of the best parties.
While she was a self-proclaimed introvert, Lynn poured her heart into her close relationships. She loved to laugh and found joy in making others happy. Her fun, exuberant spirit was contagious. Her love was generous.
Lynn prided herself on being a multi-tasker, and every day she enjoyed gracefully managing many responsibilities as CFO, devoted mother, caring wife, and loving friend. Her life was further enriched by playing beautiful piano, maintaining her luscious gardens, spoiling her dogs, and executing a gorgeous golf drive.
Lynn had a generous spirit and enjoyed giving back to the community. A breast cancer survivor, she volunteered to support women with similar diagnoses. Lynn was devoted to her Christian faith and attended Northlands Church.
Visitation and reception will be held Friday, November 18 from 6-8 pm at H.M. Patterson & Son-Oglethorpe Hill Chapel in Atlanta. Lynn will be laid to rest in Lexington, Kentucky, with a small graveside funeral attended by her close family and friends.
