Lois Ann (Hamby) Asbell, age 90 of Chamblee, Georgia, passed away December 29, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Don” Asbell; parents, Ivan and Mildred Hamby; her brother, James Hamby and nephew, Mark Mashburn. She is survived by three children, Donna Asbell, James (Jennifer) Asbell and Charles Asbell, Jr.; a grandson, Jacob Asbell; a sister, Shelba (Hamby) Mashburn; a niece, Carol (Chris) Sibley; nephews, Fred (Cindy) Mashburn and Bo Hamby; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
A devout Christian, Lois was a member of Northeast Baptist Church and a previous member of Northwoods Baptist and Sylvester Baptist. She worked at Rich’s early in her life and the Atlanta Merchandise Mart until she was 80 years old.
Visitation will be held at H.M. Patterson & Son – Oglethorpe Hill in Atlanta, Georgia on Thursday, December, 30, 2021 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. The funeral will be held at the same location on Friday, December 31, 2021 at 10:00 am. A private burial will be held later that day.
