Larry Joe Wilson

Larry Joe Wilson, 76, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on August 20, 2022. Larry, originally from Montgomery, Alabama was a long-time resident of Chamblee, Georgia, what he considered “home”. He loved a good golf game with friends, all kinds of music, time on the beach with family, spending time with his grandkids and traveling with the love of his life, Marilyn.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald & Cupiedean Wiilson and his brothers, Donnie Wilson and Billy Wilson. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, Larry is survived by his wife, Marilyn Horton Wilson, his high school sweetheart & wife of 59 years, children Ronda Ingwersen (Bob), Patricia Wilson (Randy), and Angela Arrowood (Dennis) and grandchildren Chris Hill (Lauren), Ami Ingwersen, Lindsey Ingwersen, Matthew Arrowood (Brooke) and Ryan Arrowood as well as many nieces & nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, August 26 at H.M Patterson & Son- Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, 4550 Peachtree Rd. NE, Atlanta, GA 30319, with a reception of friends & family immediately following. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org).

The family would also like to thank the nursing staff at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville (Hospice Wing) for their caring support of Larry and our family.
