Kathryn Elaine Rupel McCune

Kathryn “Kathy” Elaine McCune age 56, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. Kathy was a graduate of Oakwood High School in Dayton, Ohio and Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, the Alter Guild, Chi Omega Sorority and a member of the Board of Advisors at the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke University. Kathy was an avid reader and will live on through the thoughtful books she consistently gifted to loved ones. She is survived by her children Katie McCune of New York City and Jake McCune of Seattle, her mother Janet Rupel of Lawrenceburg, Indiana and her four brothers Brad, Jeff, JC and Brian. Memorial services will be held Sunday, November 23, 2014 at 1:30 o’clock at All Saints Episcopal Church, 634 West Peachtree Street, NW, Atlanta, Georgia. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke; Duke University Medical Center, Trent Drive, 047 Baker House, Durham, North Carolina 27710.
