Kathleen Dowling Smith

Kathleen Dowling Smith, 75, died at home on Sunday, December 2, 2012. A Mass celebrating her life will take place on Wednesday, December 5th, at 11 a.m., at Saint Brigid Catholic Church, 3400 Old Alabama Road, Johns Creek, GA 30022. Kathleen was born in New York City and was raised in New Rochelle, NY. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy in Greenwich (CT), and attended Manhattanville College in Purchase (NY). She moved with her husband to Atlanta in 1964. After raising her family, Kathleen worked in the library of St. Pius X Catholic High School which all of her children attended for secondary school. She later worked as a real estate agent with both Century 21 and Coldwell Banker. She was the devoted mother of four sons, Kevin Christopher (KC), Brendan, Brian, and Victor; as well as a daughter, Carolynn Smith Walker. She delighted in her eleven grandchildren, Madeline, Christopher, and Peter Smith, Thea and Wyatt Smith, Cale and Riley Smith, Victoria and Bridget Walker, and Kieran and Cullen Smith.
